OK, I'll get myself a membership. Do you get a cut of my $10 for having recruited me?

Gee, Aiz... you're always making me wish I lived in Alberta...

The Alliance stuff sounds so exciting!

Plus the AA logo and font remind me of the old CA ones.

Anyway, I'm watching with interest. Be interesting to see how the AA eventually fares in an election.

Gotta do what has to be done, right?

LOL ... No I don't Johnny, but if you are an eager beaver, we could certainly use your talents on the Calgary Exec Council. How does Pres sound??

If you promise to wear your blue conservative t-shirt then I will make sure I vote for ya!

There are not enough of us right wingers in this province to split the vote. You should take the conservatives down from within the PC party if you think you have the numbers. It would be safer. I would hope you would have learned something from our disastrous federal experience.

But the PC party only professes to be conservative Roger ... for the most part, in my opinion, they aren't.

12 years ago I would have had a different opinion. But honestly, what other choice is there - Jim Dinning. Guess we know what we'll get there ... Kevin Taft is more conservative than Jim Dinning.

Any other leader for the PC's is just someone who has riden Ralphie's coattail for the past 12 years and breaths the same ideology.

So while the idea of taking them down from witin is noble, it only would serve the purpose if it was a truly conservative party ... which it isn't.

rI realize that but most people in the rural areas, where I group up, are conservative and do vote for the PCs. They may not be "far right wing" right now, but that doesn't mean they won't be later. The Reform movement destroyed our country because it split the right vote between Eastern right wingers and Western right wingers and if you look at Ottawa and with Steven Harper we are back to where we were in 88. Trying to appease the East. We have come full circle. I am right wing, especially economically. But we had the liberals in power because we couldn't get along with all aspects of the right wing. The right wing is large. We have to stick together because I don't want Alberta wandering the wilderness for another fifteen years like we did federally. There are just not enough of us. If you think there are enough of the Alberta Alliance members to make a difference, you have to take my part, the PCs, down from the inside. I encourage you to do it. I don't disagree that the party is drifting and needs to be brought back to its roots. But we can't have two parties, there are just not enough of us. I wish you luck but I do hope the Alliance fails because if it becomes even remotely successful, I fear we will be done.

If elected, will the Alliance actually roll back the role and size of the state unlike Klein who grew it?

To promote Albertan independence, one must also promote Quebec independence.

Personally, I'm just enjoying having a Good Conservative lead Canada the federalist way...
