Texas Takes A Licking .... A Keeps On Ticking

Daylight has come and Texas appears to be in pretty good shape overall. Or like my blogging friend KnightofGoodIronMan stated "It's Texas yo ... the shit is under control". Mother Nature however seems bent on taking parts of LA back into the ocean, regardless of human intervention. And as we all know, like most women, she gets what she wants in the long run.

As you can see from the map provided by Accu-Weather, the two tropical waves shown have the ability to form as hurricanes over the next few days... and there are 2 months left to go in hurricane season!

Why does anyone bother living there?

Then again, after spending winters up here, maybe I shouldn't be too quick to judge.

Are you kidding? I lived in Corpus Christi Texas on the Gulf not far from the inside bend and Padre Island.
The place is a Paradise. I was working in air conditioning and playing at the beach on Padre. You can have a very nice lifestyle there, not far from Port Isabelle with great seafood and Brownsville and Mexico.

When it's 10 below here, it's 45 to 50 degrees there. 73s TG
