Bush Bashing Shows Level Of Intelligence

I don't usually pay attention to other leaders, because the dickhead we have here keeps me busy enough with all his gaffes. But I am going to put my two cents in on this topic ... and I certainly want you to put yours in too. My beef - the lefties automatically blaming Bush for the problems encountered in MS & LA.

The 1st person they should be looking to for answers is state and local officials who are responsible for coordination of evacuation plans. It's their failure to formulate, coordinate and implement that resulted in lack of action for the first 3 days.

It appeared early on that the Govenor of LA hadn't a clue what she was doing. She spent more time crying by the looks of it then implementing the plan and being the leader she is supposed to be. It's become apparent in the days following, that she doesn't know what she is doing and never bothered to surround herself with people who did. She must have been more interested in the optics of being Govenor. Her inability to make decisions has been costly to life, infrastructure, and capital markets.

2nd would be the local officials (Mayor). They should have had a plan in place to mobilize those who couldn't move themselves (seniors, disabled). Some states obviously planned properly and were able to mobilize their seniors and disabled - Louisianna did not. 300 sinking buses sitting idle speaks volumes about how ill prepared the New Orleans Mayor was. Spending money on casino's and hotels instead of shoring up levees was a badly thought out decision and one I am sure he regrets.

So now that it's been made clear to those without a clue that the first line of responsibility is state and local they can turn their disgust to those really responsible.

The finger pointing is gross as hell. It must be done...

It is worse than you state Aizlynne. They already had a plan in place as recently as 2000. They did not follow their own plan.
