War Mongering Misconceptions

A sensible blogging site Celestial Junk has a link to a post worth checking out (Logic Time - Fuzzy Moral Math). Touque Tip to Junker who "has a knack for spotting geopolitical goodies".

It debunks the misconception of more people being killed by American/British intervention (as touted by anti-war protestors), and actually does the math to back up their position on lives saved.

One of the most poignant posts was made by Marzena from Poland, herself a survivor of wars and uprisings. Here is a brief excerpt:

"So what was the benefit that so much exceeded the appalling cost, in human and material terms? Only such intangibles as human dignity, the sense of justice and a certain standard of conduct to uphold. People who have never been deprived of those, really and truly do not understand what it is like to live without and how much it may be worth to get it back. I do wish them never to have to learn that lesson, because the cost of learning by experience may be highest for those of us who do not even need it."

Thanks for the mention Aizlynne. If I may, just one little correctioin: The post was done by the "Junker", son of Debris Trail. We share the blog; Junker has a knack for spotting geopolitical goodies, so I usualy cover the Canadian angles.

I'd like to comment on the fact that you are female, running a blog like "Exposed Agenda". Radical feminists have long tried to lead us to believe that Conservativism, Libertarianism, and Canadian Patriots are usually angry white men. I find the number of quality centrist to rightwing blogs, hosted by women to be a slap in the face to the radical liberal/socialist screechers of the feminist left. Everytime a female begins a rightwing blog, I just chuckle, because you ladies seem to have forgotten that the lefties think that your place is behind a righwing man, usually a rightwing female dominating christian. Somebody forgot to tell you rebels that you are not being at all typically rightwing.

Furthermore, I am beginnig to realize that running a rightwing blog requires a thick skin. The rightwing crowd is sharp and independant. That means that often the harshest and most intelligent criticism we get is from our fellow patriots. Conservatives are not a homogeneous mob, like the moonbat hord. We generally have no problem challenging each other.

Blog on Aiz; and give no quarter.

Thanks for the correction Debris. I will get right on changing that.

Thank you for the kind words.

I don't know if I consider myself radical, although my father-in-law probably would (I scare him because I have an opinion and actually am self-sufficient and have a decent career - except for my short stint now on sabatical).

I concur that thick skin is a requirement when you lean to the right, but in their favour, I must say that even the most ardent of liberal supporter hasn't used my gender as slaughter material.

I will defend everybody's right to speak, regardless of their position. Just doesn't mean I have to agree with them.

I think the best reward for me would be to hear the I have converted a leftie... now THAT would make my day!
